Many people today are asking themselves if there is such a thing as “True love?” It seems that more people are using the words “I love you,” but do we really know what we are saying, or are we just saying some words because it is popular. It has been said that more than 50% of all marriages in the U. S. end in divorce. I am sure most of these people started out with the idea that they were “In love” and they would be with the person they chose forever. However, somewhere along the way reality started setting in. What they thought was “True love” turned out to be nothing but not so true love. I was reading in I Corinthians chapter 13 where it says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It is also long suffering without behaving itself unseemly. It is not proud, not puffed up, nor does it seek pleasure for itself, but seeks the pleasure for others.” We say we love our children, our parents, our spouses, etc., but do we really? We say many things we really don’t believe because there is no consequence for saying it, but in the long run someone is affected by what we say or do. Love is an awesome thing to have in your life, but the most important love is to love God, yourself, then others. If we want to experience “True love we need to make sure we are willing to do what true love requires…Ensure you and those you love are made better as a result of being loved by you. Free yourself, you’ll feel better!!!
