This weekend is the weekend we commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Many citizens throughout the country remember Dr. King by attending parades, building houses, candle light vigils, banquets, watching documentaries, etc., to show their respect and appreciation for his life and work. Whatever you choose to do to honor him ensures his work and sacrifice will not be forgotten. It is also important to share this history with the younger generation if we don’t want the meaning to be lost. Thank god for Dr. King and all those unnamed civil rights warriors who fought for the rights we enjoy today.
